When the information page is requested from the menu the configuration pages for the network should print as well. If they do not its a good indication the embedded network or Jetdirect card is not working. The embedded NIC (built into formatter) might be disabled or turned off. 

Recommended action:

  1. Check the menu settings and restore factory defaults. Make sure the embedded NIC is on in the menu settings. If the embedded NIC still does print or show up on the menu options then most likely the formatter needs to be replaced. 
  2. If a JetDirect card is being used most likely the card has failed or is failing. Turn the printer off and move it to another slot and power the printer back on and print the configuration sheet again and if there is still no EIO page then the JetDirect card will need to be replaced. In rare cases theformatter EIO ports that read the Jetdirect card go bad.
  3. In certain printer models you need to have a minimum memory installed for the device to see the Jetdirect card. (HP LJ 4250 64 MB, HP LJ 4350 80 MB)
